BIO SCULPTURE GEL AN EVOLVING PASSION

Bio Sculpture Gel was never planned to become a well-known international brand. Since childhood, Elmien was fascinated by beautiful nails. This fascination became her passion.

She studied at the CIDESCO Beauty Academy in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. After completing her studies, Elmien opened her first salon in Cape Town and later in Port Elizabeth but she couldn’t find any premium quality nail care products.

She continued her studies in the USA by attending training in artificial nail systems in California. Elmien came to the conclusion that if she wanted a product that ticked all the boxes, it would have to be developed from the ground up. She got married to Dr Carl Scholtz who encouraged and supported her during the development of “the perfect professional product” for nail care.

Her goal was not only set on beauty but also on Health & Safety and to protect the environment. By consulting with the best scientists in their respective fields and applying the latest technologies available, Bio Sculpture Gel was registered… a humble beginning, born from passion, perseverance, courage, dedication, hard work and the faith of a true pioneer.

Today the Bio Sculpture head office is situated in the heart of South Africa in the small town of Clocolan. Surrounded by the breathtaking African landscape and wild life, one truly experiences the wonder of tranquility and peace when visiting here. The 3000sqm ultra-modern factory is an environmentally friendly building that climatises air flow, makes use of natural lighting and self-supportive water storage.

The factory is ISO 22716 certified for Good Manufacturing Practices and is managed under ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, annually audited by the SABS and the SGS. Here everyone who visits the site is welcomed by the warm-hearted Bio Sculpture family.
